We are both children of the 90s, so the idea of a brit-pop musical was right up our street.
We headed to The Crescent theatre, Birmingham to see what “The Girl from Mars” was all about.
We also managed to get some time with the creative team and an exclusive interview!
More Patrick Marber after his adaptation of Hedda Gabler and before Travesties (which we saw the following day) – it’s a bloody good job we like him!
He not only wrote this show but he also directed – clearly a man of many talents.
There was no escaping the fact that a previous Dr.Who was playing the lead as the stage door was MANIC after the show – but this was a massive ensemble show, and we loved their work just as much as Mr. Tennant.
When legger Nathan was asked if he’d like to see Sex with Strangers in Hampstead, he thought we were going dogging on the heath!
Alas, it wasn’t to be and instead we saw a play by Laura Eason starring Emilia Fox (famous for the seemingly endless BBC drama “Waking the Dead” and Theo James who stars in the Divergent series of films.
Was Theo in his pants the highlight of this show and was it as saucy as the title would suggest? You’ll have to watch our video review to find out!
